Trying to figure out the injustices and vaqueries of Llife often drives me a bit nuts, and music is what always calms me down and keeps me sane. Usually, I hear music when I've exhausted words in my thoughts. I can't help but constantly question everything around me, staying up late searching for answers to unanswerable questions — it kinda tires you out! That's when words start fading away and music starts playing in my head. It also explains why most of my output is instrumental; if words hadn't failed me, I wouldn't be hearing music in the first place! I figure I'm not the only one on the planet who have close encounters with insanity! So come into my Asylum — let the music sooth your mind. Genres & InfluencesMy musical styles — POP-CLASSICAL, SMOOTH-JAZZ, JAZZ-FUSION — reflect my tastes and my mood. I grew up listening to pop and classical, and loved Elton John. In my teens, I discovered jazz and listened to Bob James and Keith Jarrett a lot. In college, I found smooth jazz and jazz fusion, and grew fond of Spyro Gyra, Yellowjackets, Chick Corea, among others. |
